Mike's first weekend

Mike the very cuddly and fabulously scruffy miniature schnauzer arrived in our apartment on Friday. We found him in a great little dog rescue shelter in Greenpoint, NYC. www.doghabitat.org And just had to give him a home! he loves sleeping, looking out of the window, more sleeping, chasing birds and his collection of scarves.

Lola the Skateboarding Bulldog

We papped this awesome chunky bulldog whilst she was skate boarding - yes SKATE BOARDING! - around Mc Golrick Park in Brooklyn. Little Sid got taken for a spin through the streets of London by his A-lister owner last week. Could Ewan be putting in some extra training for his pooch, who he said will join him on his next motor cycle trip. Sid looks a bit pensive about the whole thing. Maybe he's looking for potholes.

Jackson the Dressing Room Doggie

Yesterday I blew all my pocket money in a cute vintage clothes in Greenpoint, NYC called hh design:shop. How could i resist...the shops resident pup, Jackson has set up his den in the changing room. So he just sits on his Moroccan pouf, eyeballing your outfits. If you don't look good, he tends to walk out and snuggle somewhere else. He stayed curled up the whole time i was in there. so i sort of had to buy everything.

When a friend of photographer Irena Werning asked her to look after their dogs for 3 months (one of whom was little Chini) it kick-started a year long project. "I photographed her inside the little sets I would build for her where she was free to act our little human ways", says Irina. "Her photographic journey takes us into the very heart of the human comedy". My top pick is posh Chini - she actually looks like shes focusing on driving her mini car, whilst simultaneously trying to keep her hat straight and not knock her Harrods goodies off the bumper. Genius!

Lucan the terrier

Adorable little Lucan was papped whilst sauntering through Greenpoint NYC with his owner Emeline. He cant really see because of his cataracts, but is totally unfazed by things being a little dark. He loves flirting with passers by and gnawing on big sticks. www.loveyourpet.fr

Do you heart my orange shoes?

We papped this mini poodle whilst she was drying off her ears in an NYC puppy store. She was not loving the rain (it equals v v bad hair days for poodles) but was feeling pretty sharp in her coordinated orange outfit.

Diamond the Terrier

This little dude lives in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. He was papped on his way to a lazy Saturday brunch with his owner. Looks at his little paws: they're like mini dog hands!

I want this puppy!

This fabulous little dude is Chicha. He adores chewing everything and everyone and lives with his owners Clare and Hughie in rural Gaucin, Spain. It’s from this idyllic spot that they run the their brilliant house party holiday company www.arbuthnottholidays.com (you can spy the gorgeous farmhouse were guests stay behind Chicha). He was a stray farm dog (so we're not sure what type of dog he is) but his paws are already the size of saucers - which means he's going to be almost-as-big-as-a-small-pony-enormous one day. Yay!

Obama dog in Andalucia

This curl-tastic Portuguese Water Dog was papped hard at work with his goat herder owner in the mountains of Andalucia and likes "chorizo sausage, chasing goats and open fires." We're told that the little sheep in the background thinks he's a dog and likes to come along goat herding too. arrgh!
